Front-end Software Developer

The job
​You will be part of our front-end team as a medior/senior developer, actively contributing to the design, development and maintenance of the web based user interface of UbiOps. Our front-end software stack consists of React and Typescript, interfacing with ​the extensive REST API of our platform.
 
As a senior developer, you will set and improve the standards for the rest of the front-end team, while ensuring that everyone is working efficiently and effectively. You will ensure that the code quality, UX and performance of our UbiOps front-end is best in class and motivate your colleagues to develop themselves and be at their best. You will be actively involved in designing new features and exploring ​or selecting new technologies.
 
You will be part of an agile and multidisciplinary team of software developers, ​engineers and product specialists, giving you plenty of opportunities to grow your experience and explore new technologies. ​Being a team player and ​good communicator is important, as you will frequently brainstorm and align with the back-end development about new features and ​improvements.
Your profile
Technical skills
  • Experience with React and the principles of modern front-end development.
  • Proficient in Javascript and ES6+, Typescript, HTML5, CSS3 and modern web standards.
  • Skills to develop and maintain structured, clean and documented code projects.
  • Experience with Redux, Mobx or SWR is a plus
  • Experience with Cypress and Storybook is a plus
  • Comfortable working with RESTful API back-ends.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment.
  • Experience and a feel for good UX and design is a big plus.
Personal skills
  • Curious, resourceful and a quick learner. 
  • Strong communication skills and team-player abilities.
  • Good work estimation, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Independent worker with a hands-on mentality.
  • Professional proficiency in English and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
